  1. The person did need help but I could not help because they needed someone to trace switch wiring. Being in person is needed in many situations. Ceiling fan installations are one of the types in residential. The number of wires in that switch needs to be known and it can not be done without using certain tools in person. If you need your switch wiring traced use colored tape or some type of numbering that will wrap around the ends of each wire as you trace. Tools needed: multimeter – ohm reading setting.

  2. I am installing a ceiling fan directly into the ceiling (it doesnt have a box but connects directlt) and don’t know which wires to connect. The wires coming out of the ceiling are as follows two black wires twisted together and one red wire. The ceiling fan wires are as follows a blue, green/yellow and a red and brown one twisted together. Can any one help?
