The flush mounted box referred to are steel rectangular boxes with ears or tabs that keep box from falling back into the hole after cutting in wall or opening. It can be used for flush mounting fixtures to wall or ceilings. Both lighting and 110V duplex plug devices both vertical and horizonal mount. It is the most universal box in small commercial and residential. Jiffy clips or box holders are an additional method used to hold this box in wall or ceiling.
