Specs help you understand a product’s capabilities and functionality. Electrical device supports may or may not use spec type box supports during construction, it depends on the building’s construction specs.
Licensed architects design blueprints that follow I.C.C. and local code rules. Any item being installed can be easily incorporated at the owner’s requests through specs. Think of specs as details for blueprints. They include misc. technical and all other information not found in the actual plans. All decisions are always finalized before city inspection department will approve. You have to draw in any changes and submit new set of prints to the city if you deter from the original.
Residential – metal and plastic boxes are made to accept jiffy clips.
Commercial – Using jiffy clips is not standard practice on new work. Remodel work is more common.
